Junior Colleges Castillian hosted a memorable Sports Day event at Hoërskool Dinamika’s sports field.
Co-hosted by B-Active, the event saw a large turnout of enthusiastic participants and spectators, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
The sports day featured a wide range of activities catering to all ages, from babies and toddlers to grandparents.
A variety of races were held, including the much-anticipated moms’ and dads’ races, which drew loud cheers from the crowd.
Grandparents also joined in on the fun, proving that age is just a number as they sprinted down the track with determination and joy.
In addition to the exciting races, there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. This included from obstacle courses to tug-of-war races.
The event had something for everyone.
Children participated in various games designed to challenge their agility and teamwork, while adults enjoyed the friendly competition and camaraderie.
The sports field was bustling with food vendors offering a wide variety of delicious treats. Attendees were spoiled for choice with an array of food options, from traditional favourites like hot dogs and burgers to more exotic fare.
The tantalizing aromas from the food stalls filled the air, making it impossible for anyone to resist a taste.
The event was more than just a sports day; it was a celebration of community and togetherness. The school’s principal, Elriza Riddle, expressed her delight at the turnout and the positive energy throughout the day.
“It’s wonderful to see so many families coming together to support our learners and enjoy a day of fun,” she said.
“This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of B-Active and the incredible effort of our staff.”
