Investigation underway after power outage hits parts of Alberton
Residents are encouraged to stay tuned for updates as the situation develops.
Residents in Alberton North, Florentia, Alberante Proper, South Crest and parts of New Redruth are currently experiencing power outages.
Ward 37 Clr Ivan Naidoo has confirmed that the issue has been escalated to the relevant department, which is now investigating the cause of the outage.
“The Energy Department has been notified, and a team has been sent to assess the situation and restore power to the affected areas. There is currently no estimated restoration time. The next update will be provided at 14:00,” Naidoo stated.
