WATCH: Miss Diva Mom meet-and-greet a success

The Dros New Redruth in Alberton hosted a successful meet-and-greet for mothers of all ages and races.

Miss Diva Mom is a beauty pageant for women and girls aged 21 to 60.

The gathering on August 4 saw mothers convene to discuss how to maintain a healthy mind and body, embracing one’s confidence, motherhood, and the recognition of a life well-lived.

The most important aspect of the gathering is about moms meeting each other and the event organisers. The Miss Diva Mom pageant director, Janine de Wee, said age is just a number.

“We want to echo that age is just a number, and so is a woman’s beauty. Mothers and young women must embrace their womanhood, and we at Miss Diva Mom are advocates of showcasing the female vibrancy and elegance women exude. This is what this gathering is about, and we call on all women to join us,” said De Wee.

Beauty pageants, charity initiatives and fundraisers are planned for the upcoming weeks and months. Young women and mothers of all ages are encouraged to participate.
