Tiny Bubbles Nursey School celebrates 28th birthday

According to the principal, the schools have always kept her positive through all the happy as well as sad times in her life.

Tiny Bubbles Nursery turned 28 and celebrated this milestone with a minion-themed party.

On January 1, 1996, principal Carene Koekemoer started the school as a day mother with one child and later during the same year added six children at Tiny Bubbles 1, which at that stage was her home.

Carene said: “God blessed us abundantly. Our totals picked up rapidly and during the same year, we decided to apply to open the nursery school. It was not long before it was approved by the Department of Health. I was very stressed when my husband Boet and my two sons started breaking down walls to make rooms bigger, suitable for classrooms at Tiny Bubbles 1.”

Carene highlighted that the official opening of Tiny Bubbles 1 was exciting. The school’s name remained a big secret until the advertisement board in front of the school was unveiled to the song Tiny Bubbles. Thereafter the trumpets of the orchestra of Hoërskool Alberton played the song Love Changes Everything which echoed throughout the entire neighbourhood to cheers.

Carene Koekemoer was thrilled with the celebration.

“Love has always been a great part of my life and I thank God for my husband, children, parents and Tiny Bubbles learners every day,” said Carene.

Tiny Bubbles 2 opened on February 2, 2024, with 20 children.

Both have grown into successful educational institutions.

“I am thankful that Tiny Bubbles 1 and 2 were able to grow from six children to an amazing school that I am so proud of. I am also thankful for every child and parent who we have built a relationship with during the past years and who has stood by me through the past few months.

“I desire to continue to build a very close relationship with all current as well as new parents who will join our amazing Tiny Bubbles family as in the past 28 years,” emphasised Carene.
