Ward 38 residents invited to public meeting

A new project is on the horizon for Ward 38 and the public is invited to a public meeting to be held on July 30.

Residents of Ward 38, Brackenhurst and Brackendowns, can expect a new project by Rand Water and its partners soon.

Ward 38 Clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe announced that the project is the ongoing maintenance of the existing Rand Water infrastructure.

“Not only can Ward 38 residents expect this new project to take place within the boundaries of the ward, but residents are also invited to be part of the public meeting where the project and its benefit to the community will be presented,” he said.

As the ward committee and the ward councillor prepare for the review of the Integrated Development Plan (IDP), residents will be given an opportunity to attend the meeting to make submissions on what should be considered at the next IDP review.

Maifala-Masebe said the public meeting will also form part of the ward councillor giving feedback to the community on council matters, as well as long-standing service delivery matters.

The meeting will take place on July 30 at the Bracken Park Hall, starting at 18:30.
