Alberton model wins first Unseen International Teen pageant

Zanelle Huyzers is happy to announce that she is the first model crowned as the Unseen International Teen winner.

Hoerskool Alberton learner Zanelle Huyzers (16) was crowned the Unseen International Teen Winner 2024 on July 6.

The Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate Clubhouse in Kempton Park hosted the pageant.

The Unseen International Pageantry hosted the Unseen International Teen 2024 for the first time this year.

“We introduced the teen category after seeing teenagers want to be part of the modelling industry. To give the children a chance to focus on their studies, the pageant only ran for three months. We will have it again next year,” said Lucy Human, the director of Unseen International Pageantry.

According to her, pageantry emphasises the reinvention of beauty in the industry by focusing only on each individual’s inner heart and soul and how they make a difference in their communities.

Huyzers began modelling in 2013 at Figures Alberton. In 2021, she competed in her first major pageant, winning the Miss Teen Ekurhuleni second princess 2021 and Face of Ekurhuleni first princess 2021 titles.

She did not stop there and continued to be a blazing star. She was crowned Miss Alberton Teen’s second princess in 2022 and Miss Alberton’s first princess in 2023.

This young model is also the former 2023 Miss Excellency Ambassador.

Huyzers mentioned how she prepared for the pageant because this was a fantastic opportunity for her and her modelling career.

“I trained myself for the day with all my walks. I made sure all my outfits were ready for the big day, and I tried to stay calm and relaxed for most of the time.”

Huyzers told Alberton Record she can’t wait to use her Unseen International Teen 2024 title to impact her peers who also want to join modelling.

Zanelle is the first model to be crowned the Unseen International Teen winner.

Huyzers said, “I will use my title as Unseen International Teen 2024 to encourage younger girls and boys not to be scared of doing modelling and to go out and do what they would love to do in modelling.”

Huyzers has accomplished much her age because she also owns a non-profit company called Archangel Raphael’s Helper Zanelle.

“I wish that the youth do more charity work in their communities. With my title, I hope to attract more people to support all my projects like Adopt a Granny or Grandpa,” said Huyzers.

Her advice to other young people is not to be frightened to compete in pageants or to fail.

“If you do not win the first time, it is not that bad. Just be positive and do your next pageant. You will improve with time and come out tops in the end.

“Remember, all girls are beautiful in their own way and are unique in all ways. So never be afraid, keep your head high and be the best.”
