Critical need in society addressed this Mandela Day

Alberton SPCA aims to raise R30 000 to fund the sterilisation of 67 animals in impoverished communities.

As we approach Mandela Day on July 18, the Alberton SPCA invites you to join them on a mission that embodies the spirit of Tata Madiba’s generosity and compassion.

This year, their goal is to raise R30 000 to fund the sterilisation of 67 animals in impoverished communities. This initiative honours Nelson Mandela’s legacy and addresses a critical need in our society.

Sterilisation is more than a medical procedure; it is a proactive step towards reducing the overpopulation of stray and abandoned animals.

Preventing unwanted litters can mitigate the suffering of countless animals who struggle to survive without proper care. Sterilisation improves the health and quality of life of these animals, decreasing the spread of diseases and reducing aggressive behaviours.

Alberton SPCA’s target is ambitious yet attainable with the help of the community. By reaching their goal of R30 000, they can ensure the sterilisation of 67 animals from poorer communities; significantly impacting their lives and the welfare of their communities.

They call on businesses, community groups, and individuals to contribute to this vital cause. Your donation, no matter how small, can make a substantial difference.

Donate to SPCA Alberton, Absa cheque account, account number 102 447 1574 with your reference: Mandela and your name.

In the words of Nelson Mandela, “It is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it.”
