The BESA Leadership Academy, in partnership with Dean Fegen, Made in SA Boet, MICO SA and Erven Brink, hosted the annual BESA Golf Day on June 14 at the prestigious Eye of Africa Golf and Residential Estate.
The day, bigger and better than ever before, featured Merrick Bremner, a professional golfer and eight-time Sunshine Tour event winner, and a full field of 36 four-balls. Renowned DJ Bruno Zackey performed alongside the Rocomamas food bus that provided lunch for the players.
BESA managing partner Clint Preddy said, “Thank you so much to all our sponsors, players, staff, BESA families (past, future, and present), and friends for the amazing support.”
After an exciting day on the golf course, there was a prize-giving ceremony and raffle draw, where Rudi Dreyer, Charl Penning, Armand van Jaarsveld and Riaan de Wet were announced as the 2024 winners for attaining a result of 113 points. Grant Maidment won the raffle wheel borrow worth R6 000.
All proceeds from the event will go towards building more classrooms at the school, ensuring the learners feel a sense of belonging and have a ‘home away from home’.
