Mayor Xhakaza fires Dunga as MMC for Finance in Ekurhuleni

Ekurhuleni Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza has removed Nkululeko Dunga as the MMC for Finance in the CoE.

Xhakaza, who has served as mayor since April 11, said he removed Dunga due to “unforeseen misalignments”, and that the “decision is aimed at ensuring we can effectively fast-track the completion and approval of the annual budget, a critical task for the continued development and growth of our city”.

Nomadlozi Nkosi, the Ekurhuleni MMC for City Planning and Economic Development, will act as the city’s MMC for Finance while a permanent replacement is sought.
