FASSET to launch 6 months learnership programme

Join the FASSET and Blind SA learnership launch on June 6.

The Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority (FASSET) together with Blind SA will launch a collaborative learnership programme, Umcebo Ngemfundo, on June 6.

With 98% of visually impaired people unemployed in South Africa due to labour market factors, this programme aims to provide visually impaired people with the skills they need to close the skills gap between education and the workforce.

The programme will consist of six months of classroom instruction and another six months of hands-on training at organisations like Work Integrated Training Solutions and the SA Chambers of Commerce.

The launch ceremony will be held in Kempton Park’s Protea Hotel Marriot, OR Tambo.
