Rosemarie Nursery School is grateful for new speed bumps

The new speed bumps are expected to slow down traffic and increase the safety of children and their parents.

Rosemarie Nursery School in Brackenhurst is thankful that the municipality installed speed bumps on Kalossie Street, making the area safer for everyone.

“We have struggled for the past six years to get speed bumps on this very busy street where our school is located,” said Megan Botha, the owner of Rosemarie Schools.

In 2023, residents, staff and parents signed a petition asking for speed bumps. Finally, on May 7, they were installed.

“It was a big safety hazard for us because motorists sped and drove recklessly. The speed bumps are for the safety

of our staff, the children, and the parents,” Botha explained.
“Thank you to everyone involved for making this happen,” she added.

Megan Botha, the owner of Rosemarie Nursery School, said they are thankful for finally having speed bumps near the school.
