School celebrates World Book Day

It was a fun-filled day for the little ones and their teachers.

The theme for this year’s World Book and Copyright Day is ‘Read Your Way’, which aims to promote a love of reading for everyone, regardless of their age or background.

This is exactly what Creative Academy Preschool and Baby Centre at 83 Jackson Street did to celebrate World Book Day.

“A room without books is like a body without a soul,” said principal Tarryn Botha.

“At Creative Academy reading to our children and investigating a variety of books plays a big role in how we teach our children. World Book Day enhanced this love of book characters and gave our children an opportunity to dress up and really bring these characters to life.

“The children and teachers went all out dressing up and credit must be given for their efforts,” Botha concluded.
