Local model wins provincial and international titles at Miss Junior South Africa pageant

The young model endured training and had a blast at the four-day pageant, where she won in various categories.

Chloé Oosthuizen, a professional model and Grade Eight learner from Marais Viljoen, will soon represent SA in Turkey.

Chloé participated in the Miss Junior South Africa pageant. It ran over four days and was hosted in Pretoria.

Registration began on March 21, after which the interviews started. The contestants rehearsed daily to get ready for the gala evening.

The evening of March 22 began with an evening wear ramp, followed by a casual wear ramp.

Chloé and the other contestants dazzled the audience on Saturday morning with fun, carnival-themed wear. Each contestant looked gorgeous in their different carnival outfits on which they were judged.

The evening was a special awards crowning where Chloé won the award for best interview wear. On the final day of the pageant, she won the Miss Petite Teen Gauteng Provincial category and took the overall charity award.

Additionally, she won the Miss Petite Teen International South Africa 2024 category and will represent SA in Turkey.

Her coach, Luzanne Heunis from SA All Star Model Academy, said, “It was very long hours and days, but all worth it after four days.”

Chloé is grateful to her mum, Lizelle, for everything she did for her on her journey as a finalist. She also thanked her coach for the support and preparation.

“The pageant was lovely and well organized, and for this, I am also thankful to the director of Pageants SA, Carolyn Botha. I will wear my title with pride,” said Chloé.
