PICUP Alberton has a lot in store for its residents

April will be a big month for PICUP Alberton as they will revamp the Alberton Dam playground and will be launching its rewards program.

PICUP Alberton is gearing up for a community project in April that promises to bring the community together.

They will revamp the Alberton Dam playground by restoring some parts of the play gyms and adding more play equipment.

According to Joeleen Smit, director and co-founder for PICUP Alberton, this project is a testament to PICUP Alberton’s commitment to creating inclusive and engaging spaces for residents of all ages.

Since its commencement, PICUP Alberton has been dedicated to improving public spaces and fostering a sense of pride and ownership among Alberton residents.

One of the highlights of this organisation is the launch of its rewards program in April. This program will allow members to qualify for discounts when shopping at participating businesses in Alberton, encouraging support for local establishments and strengthening community ties.

“PICUP Alberton has been actively involved in the maintenance of pavements and grass cutting in the area. We have undertaken the cleaning and maintenance of key roads such as Ring Road East, Ring Road West, Nelson Mandela Road, and Paul Sehlogo Road, and have now expanded our efforts to Alberton Boulevard,” said Joeleen.
These efforts not only improve the aesthetic appeal of these areas but also contribute to the overall safety and well-being of the Alberton community.

PICUP Alberton is calling on the Alberton residents and business community to get involved – whether through donations or assisting with resources.

“We believe community engagement is key to the success of our projects. By working together, we aim to create a vibrant and welcoming community for all,” he said.
