Place of Purpose appreciates unsung heroes

Place of Purpose recently appreciated some Alberton businesses for their continued support and contribution towards their sustainability as well as their involvement in the community.

New Market’s Place of Purpose (POP) took time to appreciate Alberton entities who have committed acts of self-sacrifice by presenting them with appreciation certificates.

According to Gwen McKechnie, director of POP, these unsung heroes are the people behind the scenes who assist Alberton to make it one of the greatest municipalities in the city.

“Life can be so hectic and time so scarce, today everything is profit-driven with no time to spare, yet in our midst, we have businesses that sacrifice time for the good of organisations, such as Place of Purpose for the intellectually handicapped,” she said.
