Local plumbing company extends helping hand to Brackendowns SAPS

To ensure that the station carries out their duties without any hindrance, Seal Plumbing and Projects rolled up their sleeves to extend a helping hand to the police station.

To ensure the public and staff’s health, Seal Plumbing and Projects heeded a rather urgent call to repair Brackendowns SAPS’ plumbing infrastructure.

Estimated to cost more than R10 000, the project, which took about two weeks to complete, focused on repairing the station’s plumbing system.

“There were burst pipes and people weren’t able to use one toilet in the holding cells. Every now and then we do assist the community without charging them. We thought that we would just quickly help and be done, but we ended up fixing the whole plumbing system,” explained Stanley Elms, Seal Plumbing and Projects co-owner.

Co-owners Elms and Anton La Grange together with their team, helped fix the females’ bathroom, and males’ bathroom, plumping in the holding cells and other parts of the station.

The station’s spokesperson, Sergeant Lindile Moloi, said: “When reporting such issues, the process tends to take a bit of time and these were issues needing urgent attention. The company then generously agreed to fix our infrastructure and for that, we are truly grateful.”

Brackendowns CPF chairperson Geoff Steyn thanked the plumbing company for assisting them in getting the station up and running.
