Brackendowns and Brackenhurst residents urged to join public meeting

To discuss municipal challenges facing Ward 38, clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe has encouraged the community to participate in the meeting, which will be held in Bracken Park Community Hall on January 23.

The residents of Brackenhurst and Brackendowns are invited to attend a ward committee meeting on January 23.

Ward 38 Clr Thavha Maifala-Masebe will update residents on service delivery issues in the ward, and give residents a breakdown of the issues regularly affecting them.

Maifala-Masebe will also present the upcoming year’s plans during the meeting. These include action plans to deal with persistent issues like the area’s constant wastewater overflows, road infrastructure, and streetlights.

The meeting will take place at the Bracken Park Community Hall, 229 Hennie Alberts Street, Albertsdal, Alberton, from 18:30 to 20:00.

The meeting’s purpose is to inform residents about council matters and to comply with the legal mandate that council members hold frequent public meetings.

Additionally, the council member continues to hold these sessions monthly rather than the mandated quarterly meetings to promote responsiveness in the ward.
