In a turn of events, Pardon Danhire and Freddie Stapelberg are now both facing two counts of murder in the tragic murder case of Nadine Terblanche and her son, Ruandré Vorster.
Stapelberg appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on January 15 following his arrest on January 12.
The gruesome discovery of the bodies of Nadine and Ruandré at their Randhart home sent shockwaves through Alberton and the country.
Stapelberg, who was allegedly engaged to Terblanche, now finds himself at the centre of the investigation.
Stapelberg, who was initially portrayed as the discoverer of the bodies in our previous articles, is now under investigation as legal authorities allege his involvement in the double homicide.
Stapelberg, dressed in his navy work shirt, appeared in court to face two schedule 6 charges of premeditated murder.
He will remain in custody.
The case has been remanded to February 7 for a formal bail application.
