Parts of Alberton to spend another night without power

Technicians on scene are working tirelessly and aiming to restore the power tomorrow.

Residents are to spend another night without power after a widespread power outage in Verwoerd Park, Florentia, Alberton North, and Newmarket Park since yesterday.

According to Ward 37 Clr Ivan Naidoo technicians are still busy with repairs and will work throughout the night.

“We have damage on overhead lines, and we are finding more issues. We are currently aiming to restore the power tomorrow around 12h00 if all goes well,” said Naidoo.

The power outage has disrupted daily life, causing inconvenience and frustration for residents, businesses, and essential services.

Residents must remain cautious and patient while teams work tirelessly to restore power.

Alberton Record will update its readers as soon as more information becomes available.
