To commemorate Youth Day, and in support of an Eden Park charity called The Gracious Givers, Alrode’s Craft Trading and Projects held a charity fundraiser on June 10 at their premises.
Local businesses and collaborators were in attendance to cherish the day’s jam-packed programme while having fun.
The event consisted of a jumping castle for kiddies, lively music and tasty treats were sold, with proceeds to be donated to the NPO.
“To show the youth that lost their lives in 1976 that it was not in vain, we arranged a networking fundraiser event. A 100m oval track was set up and each person was encouraged to walk, run, skip, scooter, cycle, piggy-back, hoverboard, and to either use an electric vehicle around at least once, to represent one life,” explained Rachel Lambinon of Craft Trading and Projects.
After a great turnout, the event was declared a massive success.
