In a captivating display of knowledge and public speaking prowess, learners from Hoërskool Dinamika recently participated in the highly anticipated Junior Commissioner Project, hosted by Brackendowns SAPS.

The event aimed to address various aspects of crime and empower young minds to become future leaders in crime prevention.

“Under the watchful eyes of judges from SAPS and a non-governmental organisation, as well as an audience comprising teachers and parents, eight learners took the stage to engage in a fierce debate. Their eloquence and understanding of the subject matter left the audience in awe, showcasing the immense potential within our youth,” said Warrant Officer Gerhard Cornelius from Brackendowns SAPS.

After careful consideration, the judges made the difficult decision to select four outstanding learners to assume leadership positions in the Junior Commissioner Project.

The junior support head is Lyneesh Nelson, the junior detective head is Mia Nolte, Junior Vispol head is Suné Bezhuidenhout and Amogelang Mohladi is the junior station commander.

The chosen contestants displayed remarkable dedication, knowledge, and aptitude for the roles they were assigned. Their selection represents a recognition of their exceptional abilities and their commitment to making a difference in their communities.

“The newly appointed junior commanders deserve heartfelt congratulations for their outstanding achievements in the Junior Commissioner Project. Their dedication and passion for the cause have set them on a path to become future leaders in law enforcement and crime prevention,” said Cornelius.

In particular, Amogelang, has now embarked on a journey towards the coveted title of Junior Provincial Commissioner.
