Support Talitha’s six-a-side soccer fundraiser to help disabled children

The Talitha Stimulation Centre for disabled children is a registered welfare organisation providing daycare and residence for abandoned, neglected, abused, and severely intellectually disabled children.

“The centre invites you to participate in our fundraising events planned for this year. We are raising funds due to the escalating costs of food and other items we need. The government has also reduced financial support to our centres, and we need to maintain the standard of our care to these needy and vulnerable children,” said Veronica Flemmer, the event organiser.

The fundraiser will take place on June 16 at Eden Park Primary School. There is a registration fee of R500 per six-a-side soccer team.

The prizes include money for the teams in the final, and medals for the top three teams, player of the tournament, and the top goal scorer.

There is no entry fee for supporters. A raffle with valuable prizes will be available. Those wanting to register stalls can do so for R350 per stall. Food and other refreshment stalls will be available.
