Protest action outside Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality Police Department have confirmed that scores of protesters burnt tyres and barricaded Palm Ridge Road next to Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court in the early hours of May 17.

Local SAPS and the EMPD managed to disperse the crowd and the situation is now under control.

According to Deliwe Ndlovu of the EMPD, no arrests were made and the reason for the protest action is still unknown.

Law enforcers are busy monitoring the situation.
