Motorists are advised to use alternative routes after an accident at the intersection between Swartkoppies Road and Potgieter Road bridge.
According to Nardus Hollander from CPS Security, the accident occurred between a vehicle and an oil tanker earlier this Friday morning.
“All lanes from the BP Garage going towards Brackenhurst have been temporarily closed in order for workers to clean up the oil spillage,” said Hollander.
No injuries have been reported during the incident.
It is not clear when the lanes will be open for operation. The Alberton Record will keep its readers updated as soon as more information is received.
