One hundred residents of Thinasonke Extensions Three and Four received title deeds from Alco Ngobese, the MMC for the Department of Human Settlements, on February 10.

According to Ngobese, the long-awaited opportunity for people to get their title deeds to their properties had arrived. These title deeds will give residents the security of tenure over their homes and the promise of a legacy for their children.

“We urge all recipients of title deeds to treasure them,” Ngobese said.

One beneficiary, Thembi Makwarela (84), said that she had not felt this happy in a long time.
