City of Ekurhuleni free online course applications open

The Ekurhuleni libraries are accepting applications for their free three-month e-learning course. Successful candidates must be able to attend one session a week at a CoE knowledge centre.

At the briefing, specifics and further information on the accessible modules, such as Cybersecurity, Network Essentials and Introduction to the Internet of Things, will be covered. Students must complete six courses.

Application criteria for selection include:

• Must reside in Ekurhuleni and have documentation to prove so

• Completed Grade 12 – please attach results

• Committed to completing the course

• Basic IT knowledge

• Unemployed

Complete the application form in full. Previous IT credentials and experience will be considered.

For consideration, those interested in the course must apply. There are only a few spots left for this internationally recognised course.

This is a partnership with the National Library of South Africa, Gauteng Provincial Library Services and the City of Ekurhuleni Library Services.

This is not an internship or job vacancy. The chosen applicants will be contacted by the end of February.

The deadline for application is February 15. Late applications will not be considered.
