Executive mayor of Ekurhuleni announces her mayoral committee

Tania Campbell of the DA was once again elected executive mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni following what must have been lengthy negotiations with opposing parties. The executive mayor announces her mayoral committee.

The City of Ekurhuleni’s executive mayor promised the locals when she returned to work last week that her office would get going right away.

Tania Campbell was removed as executive mayor of the Ekurhuleni Municipality following a vote on a motion of no confidence.

According to the mayor, she has already taken firm action on issues of subjects, most notably the waste problem, which is now receiving the urgent attention it rightfully requires.

“Today, I would like to announce my team of MMCs who will guide their respective departments in a direction that builds on the great work we have achieved thus far.

“These individuals have been appointed based on their skillsets, and I have every confidence that they will lead their departments with the respect and dignity befitting of their office,” said Campbell.

The Members of the Mayoral Committee are as follows:

• MMC for Finance: Clr Fanyana Nkosi

• MMC for Health and Social Development: Clr Jennifer Glover

• MMC for Transport: Ald Mabekenyane Thamahane

• MMC for Water, Sanitation and Energy: Clr Senzi Sibeko

• MMC for Real Estate: Clr Tambo Mokoena

• MMC for Corporate and Shared Services: Clr Golden Maduana

• MMC for Human Settlements: Ald Alco Ngobese

• MMC for City Planning: Ald Heather Hart

• MMC for Environment and Waste Management: Clr Brandon Pretorius

• MMC for Community Safety: Clr Khathushelo Rasinglingwane

“I know this capable team is fit for the task at hand and I wish them all the best with their new responsibilities,” added Campbell.
