CPS Security recent arrests enhance Alberton’s safety

CPS Security urges locals to report any crime to the SAPS and itself to minimise crime in the community.

CPS Security recently made several arrests in the Alberton area, and its proactive efforts in apprehending wanted suspects have resulted in a safer neighbourhood.

Cable thieves arrested in Alberton North

In Alberton North, a CPS Security reaction unit was on patrol and spotted two suspicious males tampering with a traffic light.

The reaction unit called for help, and it was established that both men had tried to cut the electrical cable.
Cutting equipment was found on the scene, and the men were arrested.

The Alberton SAPS was contacted, and the suspects were handed over and charged.

Gate motor theft suspect apprehended in Florentia

A client called the CPS Security control room in the early hours of the morning, reporting that they had seen an unidentified person trying to take their gate motor.

The reaction units responded and apprehended the suspect inside the client’s premises.

The Alberton SAPS was contacted, and the suspect was taken into custody.

Electrical cable thief arrested in Glenanda

A member of the public stopped a CPS Security reaction unit, claiming to have seen a suspicious individual manipulating a light pole.

Two suspects were caught cutting the cable of a traffic light in Alberton North.

When the CPS officer arrived, he found the man trying to take the electrical wire from the light pole and discovered cutting equipment in his possession.

The Mondeor SAPS was contacted, and the suspect was taken into custody.

The traffic light was tampered with.

Operation held

Following information about an ATM bombing syndicate at large after an ATM attack in the Thokoza area, CPS Security conducted an operation involving various role players.

Following a raid on a hostel, they found one unauthorised firearm and caught one suspect.

Three suspects arrested for house burglary

The CPS reaction units responded to a complaint earlier in the evening after three suspects jumped into a resident’s property in the Verwoerdpark area.

These house burglary suspects were arrested.

They chased the suspects over the highway and into the Dinwiddie area. A while later, a CPS Security client on Swallow Street, Dinwiddie, called the control centre to report that they saw three males hiding in a drain.

The CPS reaction units responded and arrested the three suspects after finding them with stolen goods.
The SAPS was contacted, and a case was opened.

The suspect was arrested in Glenanda.
