Suspected ATM bombers arrested in Palm Ridge
All three suspects were detained at Eden Park Police Station.
Three suspects linked to recent ATM bombings were arrested in Palm Ridge on July 3.
According to Donovan du Toit, operations manager from Fox Security, information was received regarding a syndicate that was involved in ATM bombings.
A team was established and an operational plan was executed during the early hours of Wednesday morning. A total of three houses were raided and three suspects were arrested during the operation.
Stained money and a hijacked vehicle were seized. All three suspects were detained at Eden Park Police Station.
Units involved where EMPD CLU, EMPD Intervention Unit, Fox Security, CI Ekurhuleni, ABSA Investigation Unit, EMPD K9, FNB PCM Team, Gauteng Traffic Police, CPS Security, Vusela Intel and Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) Germiston.
“Well done to everyone involved,” said Du Toit.
