“Parallel to the operations, they conducted a street Imbizo in Rondebult, where the district commissioner, station commander, CPF chairperson, and a local councillor addressed some of the thorny issues raised by the community.

Some of these issues raised included taverns operating the whole night, causing noise in the area, withdrawal of serious cases by the community, lack of police visibility patrolling the area,” Sekgobela said.

They encouraged the community to join patrollers to fight crime together with the officers.
