Security guard injured in CIT heist on Swartkoppies Road
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes due to an active crime scene.
A cash-in-transit (CIT) heist took place earlier tonight on Swartkoppies Road between Rietvlei Zoo Farm and Mall of the South.

One security guard was injured as a result.
CPS Security sales director, Tyrone van der Merwe, confirmed that the suspects fled the scene.
Fox Security’s operations director Francois Jansen said one of their vehicles was shot at while chasing the suspects.
According to Jansen, the officers in the vehicle were luckily not injured.
Several emergency services are on scene, and the injured security guard was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
