Organisation reopens its’ door to help those in need
The organisation reopened with the hope this time it will succeed at making a difference in love to those in need.
Lethukukhanya recently celebrated its reopening after having to close its doors because of challenges it has encountered.
This time around, it hopes to keep its doors open to fulfil its mission of helping the many in need in the community.
The organisation is located in Eden Park and helps the elderly, orphans and disabled by providing them with breakfast and lunch with a programme called Lunch On Club. The organisation also provides bread every Friday to the community.
The organisation was founded in 2016 by Rantsoaki Elzabeth Snyders. It has been registered since September 11, 2019, and its management includes the organisation manager Elrico King, administrator Hans Vry, driver Anthoney Theron, chef Pinki Kgosiejong and cleaner Minah Selai.
Synders founded the organisation to help those who cannot help themselves by providing them with food and taking the elderly to health facilities.
The community members also enjoy workouts, sports and agriculture, sewing and crocheting. The organisation is occasionally sponsored by Shoprite and receives bread from the Old Apostolic Church every week.
“The reopening was successful and we are excited to see what the future holds for the organisation as we want to continue seeing the needy being fed, the disabled cared for, the orphans looked after and the elderly helped with their basic needs,” said Snyders.
The organisation has struggled in the past to keep its doors open and requires assistance.
“We are pleading with any member of the public who can find it in their hearts to help us continue helping those in need. Your help will be highly appreciated,” expressed the Lethukukhaya management.
