Washing machine donation needed at JSPCA

In response to this urgent situation, the JSPCA called on the community for assistance.

The Johannesburg Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (JSPCA) has long been a guardian of furry companions, providing shelter, care, and compassion to animals in dire circumstances.

As the cold winds of winter sweep through, the JSPCA faces a pressing challenge that speaks to their commitment and the support they require from the community.

At the heart of their plea lies a simple yet crucial necessity: a washing machine. While it might seem like an everyday appliance, for the JSPCA, it is a lifeline for the well-being of the animals in their care. The JSPCA desperately needs another washing machine to keep their beloved pets warm and comfortable during the cold months.

The JSPCA team works tirelessly to provide a haven for distressed animals. Among their many responsibilities is washing blankets, bedding, and other essential items required to ensure the animals’ health and happiness. The number of blankets needing daily laundering is immense and their current washing machine is at its limit.

Their current washing machine, which has served them faithfully, runs almost around the clock, struggling to keep up with the workload. The strain on the machine is evident and the JSPCA knows a solution is urgently needed.
If you have a washing machine you can donate or wish to make a cash contribution toward this cause, the JSPCA and its four-legged residents would be immensely grateful.

Your support could make a world of difference.

Individuals wanting to donate can email the JSPCA on pr@jspca.co.za or call 011 681 3600.
