Successful basketball tournament at Nova Pioneer Ormonde

The InterNova Basketball Tournament is part of Nova Pioneer’s mission to encourage leadership, competitiveness, physical fitness and health.

The Nova Pioneer Ormonde campus hosted the InterNova Basketball Tournament, and all six Nova Pioneer campuses competed against each other on May 12.

The campuses included Ormonde, Paulshof, Ruimsig, Boksburg, Midrand, and Northriding.

The tournament is part of Nova Pioneer’s mission to encourage leadership, competitiveness, physical fitness and health. It is a chance for learners to showcase their skills, passion, and sportsmanship on the court.

After intense competition, Nova Pioneer Midrand emerged as the overall winner. The team played exceptionally well throughout the tournament, displaying excellent teamwork and sportsmanship. Their performance was recognised with the spirit trophy, which acknowledged their commitment to fair play and team spirit.

Nova Pioneer Midrand’s success is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and teamwork.

The tournament allows learners to challenge themselves, develop skills, and learn crucial life lessons, such as perseverance, resilience, and teamwork.

Sameerah Mahomed, the dean of students at Nova Pioneer Ormonde Primary, said: “Nova Pioneer Ormonde was proud to host all our campuses at the tournament. One thing that stood out was the good sportsmanship and culture of ‘greater together’ displayed by all teams that participated.”

Mahomed thanked the Fielding Dreams coaches and expressed pride in the players. “Congratulations to Nova Pioneer Midrand on their well-deserved win,” said Mahomed.

The InterNova Basketball Tournament was held at the Nova Pioneer Ormonde campus.
