WATCH: Kibler Park Secondary appreciates lights from Mall of the South

No more excuses about load-shedding for Grade 12 learners.

The Mall of the South handed over 131 rechargeable solar charging power lights to Kibler Park Secondary School on November 10.

These lights were donated to Grade 12 learners to use when there is load-shedding. Trevor Sturgess from Seeff Properties recommended the school to the Mall of the South.

The principal, Hosea Maboya, said this is good as learners will no longer claim that they are unprepared because of load-shedding.

Addressing the learners he said, “I want to thank the team from Mall of the South, who as part of their social responsibility came up with this initiative to give us lights. This is not to be given to your siblings but to yourselves so that come the time you are writing and if the power happens to go, you will be able to continue with your studies.”

These multifunctional emergency maintenance lamps are also suitable for outdoor camping, night riding, fishing and cave exploration. They have mobile phone emergency charging and USB charging ports.
