Dance studio officially opens its doors

Diamond Dance Academy in Brackenhurst officially opened its doors to the public on September 3.

Offering a variety of dance classes, the academy has for years been Lynn Botha’s dream of reaching out to others through dance.

Lynn, who carries years of experience in dancing, said she wants to make every child and young adult’s dream come true and give them all the opportunity in the world to shine.

“This is a way out to mental issues and I have offered them a way out. I started dancing when I was only three and despite being told that I wouldn’t walk since my feet were broken, my mother said ‘this child will dance’. And since then I have done just that. My passion is mainly reaching out to children,” she said.

During the opening, also present were local vendors, who benefited from the event.
