Campbell’s visit follows growing safety concerns about the dilapidated building and calls to have it demolished.

The building, which was initially earmarked to be a licensing drive-through to ease the burden on Alrode Licensing Department, has become a home for vagrants.

“We have had several complaints from community members regarding safety issues. Drugs are apparently being sold at this port. The MMC, ward committee, the councillor and I are here to find solutions,” explained Campbell.

MMC of Transport Planning Alco Ngobese publicly announced that they are planning to demolish the building and that it is not safe for the community.
