The pilot and two passengers were injured during the emergency landing.

Three people were injured when the plane they were flying in had engine problems and they were forced to execute an emergency landing, on May 26, at the Panorama Airfield in Kromvlei.

William Ntlabi, spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni Emergency Services said, “A four-seater light aircraft attempted an emergency landing at Panorama airfield just outside Alberton on the corner of M7 and Kromvlei Road.

“The aircraft had three occupants, a pilot and two passengers. All three survived with intense injuries. They were medically treated on scene before road transportation to the nearest medical facility.

“DEMS received the call at 17:55 and responded promptly. On arrival, various other emergency services were already on scene giving medical treatment to the injured.”
