Scooters donated to Rosehill Nursery school

The children smiled from ear to ear when they saw the scooters being offloaded at the school.

Residents and business owners from Linmeyer donated 28 plastic scooters to Rosehill Nursery school, in Townsview, on May 11.

Several plastic scooters were stolen after a break-in at the school.

“We heard about the break-in during an event held at the school last weekend. We mobilised residents and companies to donate towards new scooters,” said the organiser of the donation drive, Kristal Lee Sibbald.

“Rosehill Nursery School has been here for many years and many of the residents attended the nursery school, so it was a cause close to their hearts. We are doing this for the children,” added Sibbald.

Rosehill Nursery School is celebrating its 74th birthday this year.

Excitement as the children helped to unwrap the new scooters.

The nursery school thanked these companies and residents for their donations: TowFinity Towing, Speedo-worx, Paul and Nanda Ramos, Leon Roux and the Linmeyer Awareness Group, Just Tyres, Atlantis Panel Beaters, Sandy Brockelbank, Cindy, Joan Erasmus, Lindsay Jago as well as Cindy and Angelo Frantzeskos.
