Alberton High visits children’s home

Alberton High School spread love and joy to little ones during their recently held Easter drive.

As part of their welfare programme, Alberton High School recently held their annual Easter drive, which was declared a huge success.

Teachers, parents and learners, including previous learners from the school, visited Siyabonga Children’s Home in Germiston on April 28.

They hosted a social gathering and held an Easter egg hunt with children at the haven.

On April 29, Alberton High School and the Easter bunny surprised children from the Othandweni Home with lunch, and handewd out over 3 000 Easter eggs.

Kim Kroukamp, from the school, thanked Mandy from Scalliwags Costume Hire and the Nunes family for the donation of juice, biscuits and sweets for the orphanages.

“Thank you to the Maxwell family for donating two huge food parcels and the Chellen family for making up party packs for the children. Thank you to the Wyman family who helped the Welfare councillors raise funds to buy lunch for the children. Thank you to everyone from the Alberton High School Welfare Committee and the Blues family for the wonderful initiative,” she said.
