After experiencing different stages of load shedding throughout the week, most parts of Alberton woke up without power on this cold Sunday morning.
According to Ward 106 Councillor Tim Denny, there is emergency maintenance or repairs so they had to shut down the Eiger substation.
The following areas are affected:
- Brackenhurst
- Brackendowns
- Randhart
- Alrode
- Meyersdal
- General Alberts
- Thokoza North
There is no estimated restoration time provided as yet. An update will follow as soon as more information becomes available.
