City responds on Brackenhurst’s mobile clinic grievance

The City of Ekurhuleni has responded following a complaint from a Mayberry Park resident on Brackenhurst’s mobile clinic resources.

The City of Ekurhuleni has assured that Brackenhurst Clinic will be assisted through the corporate office so that there are no future challenges.

This assurance was given after a Mayberry Park resident expressed her grievance about the Brackenhurst mobile clinic’s resources.

She recently decided to have her blood pressure checked as she was feeling light-headed, only to be turned away by nurses. Their excuse was they did not have batteries for the blood pressure machine.

In a statement, the resident said these hard-working nurses were not given enough resources to do their job.
CoE’s spokesperson Zweli Dlamini confirmed it was found after an investigation that the clinic did not have batteries.

“The clinic did not follow the correct procedure of procuring batteries,” he said.

He assured that the clinic will be assisted with the correct procedure to procure batteries through the corporate office to avoid further challenges on matters related to batteries and non-stock items.
