The swift reaction from Fox Security saw two robbers apprehended after they broke into a property and stole security beams this morning.
Francois Jansen, operation director for Fox Security said they received a panic from one of their clients in Brackenhurst, on arrival, the Fox reaction officer spotted that the electric fence was cut and immediately noticed beams were missing.
“Our Fox reaction officer jumped into his vehicle and spotted a suspicious vehicle down the road and drove closer to investigate,” he said.
Jansen further explained that the vehicle sped off and a chase ensued throughout the Brackenhurst area.
“The suspects tried to run our Fox vehicles off the road, that’s when our Tactical units opened fire at the vehicle’s tyres trying to stop the vehicle from endangering other motorists and pedestrians on the road,” said Jansen.
Brackendowns SAPS assisted with the arrests of the suspects.
“The vehicle lost control and our Fox Reaction officers managed to apprehend two of the suspects with the help of Brackendowns SAPS.”
Upon investigation, information was received that the suspects were linked to five different cases of beam theft throughout the night.
Fox Security has placed additional Fox Units throughout the area to combat crime.
“As the beam theft increased throughout the greater Alberton areas and the South of JHB we have placed additional Fox Units on the road to try and catch these suspects and it managed to pay off,” added Janse.
