WATCH: Services disrupted at Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital following protest
Health services were disrupted at Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus as health workers embarked on a protest over contracts on April 6.
An employee of the hospital informed Kathorus MAIL the gates are closed, health workers cannot enter or exit the premises and emergency vehicles are being turned away by protesters.

She said the workers complained that the hospital is understaffed and demanded that contracts be renewed.
The Ekurhuleni Health District (EHD) communications officer, Joseph Monaheng, confirmed reports of protests at the hospital.
“Workers are protesting for Covid-19 contracts to be renewed. We will issue a media statement in due course,” said Monaheng.
