Alberton High learners excel in Mathematics Olympiad

Twelve Alberton High School learners shone in the South African Mathematics Olympiad.

Congratulations are in order for 12 learners of Alberton High School who recently progressed to the second round of the South African Mathematics Olympiad.

The Olympiad is set to take place in May.

The mathematics department and the school expressed it was proud of each learner who took part in the Olympiad.

Grade Eight learners who came through included Mojalefa Motloung, Tahira Hussain, Talin Venketsamy, Keanu Marques, Shale Steyn and Dominic Immelman.

In Grade Nine, Lesedi Gololo and Amiya Lala also made it through, with Saien Venketsam doing it for Grade 10, while Tina Ngude, Keabetswe Masemeni and Teagon Spykerman in Grade 12 also made it to the next round.
