Municipal valuation appeal deadline extended

The deadline will run from March 3 to April 29.

Ratepayers who are not willing to pay in accordance with the new valuation while waiting for objection outcome should go to the billing section/ rates section at the Customer Care Centre.

The City of Ekurhuleni has extended the deadline for appeals against the outcomes of the Municipal Rates General Valuation Roll 2021 to 2025.

The new deadline will now run from March 3 to April 29.

According to the office of the mayor, the extension will accommodate the delays in receiving objection outcomes and the reasons for the results from the municipal valuer.

Ekurhuleni aims to have all outcomes uploaded on the Siyakhoka website linked to the accounts for each registered property by February 28.

Unregistered property owners can register on Siyakhokha.
