Drug dealer in Alrode nabbed

Members from the Brackendowns CPF received information that people living in shacks in the veld off Potgieter Street in Alrode were dealing drugs.

Members from the Brackendowns CPF received information that people living in shacks in the veld off Potgieter Street in Alrode were dealing drugs.

On January 5, the CPF members visited the indicated area joined by Fox Security members where Brackendowns SAPS was called.

The officers found a man in his 40s at his sack was searched. Illegal substances and ammunition were found. The suspect was arrested for possession of ammunition and drugs and detained at Brackendowns police station.

Police ceased five rounds of ammunition, 12 Mandrax tablets, nine packets of crystal meth, 14 packets of Nyope, two scales, three cellphones and two holders with coins.

The suspect will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.

“This was once again amazing teamwork from our partners in the fight against crime,” said W/O Gerhard Cornelius spokesperson for Brackendowns SAPS.
