Youth arrested for malicious damage to property

A case of malicious damage to property has been opened at the Alberton SAPS.

Alberton SAPS arrested a 19-year-old male on October 23 in Florentia for malicious damage to property.

According to Alberton SAPS spokesperson Capt Manare Ramotshela, officers reacted to a scene where a male jumped in front of a resident’s vehicle, damaging her car.

The incident took place at the corner of Kritzinger Road and Parklands Lane at the Helen Centre.

“After further investigation and going through CCTV footage, we managed to identify the suspect. He has been traced and arrested,” said Capt Manare.

“A case of malicious damage to property has been opened at the Alberton SAPS. Management has welcomed the arrest.”

Capt Manare urges residents to join hands with SAPS to fight crime.

“United we stand,” he concluded.
