According to the sales director of CPS Security, Tyrone van der Merwe, a panic signal was received from local business premises due to an armed robbery that was in progress.
“A quick response from our reaction officers led to a successful arrest,” he said.
One suspect was apprehended and one firearm was recovered.
“The suspect has been linked to another armed robbery case that occurred yesterday,” said Tyrone.
