Jy Het My Gered is a love song she wrote for her fiancé (now her husband), Shaun Walker, just after they got engaged.
“We met during a difficult time in my life, and he literally showed me that true love and selflessness can get you through any situation,” she said.
“I am grateful for the pillar of support he has been in my life. He really saved my life. Now we are expecting a beautiful baby girl, Emily Anlizé Walker, who is due in October, and I am excited about our future together.”
This single, which perfectly showcases her vocals, is the third release from her popular third studio album, Ek Het Opgestaan, and the singer believes that it will definitely appeal to audiences of all ages.
“The reason I chose the song is that I believe everyone has that one special person who showed them that pain will not win, and that true love really exists. You just have to be patient,” said the Ghoema-nominated brunette.
